"Type of Backup" should generally be left on "Site" unless you only plan on backing up a single subdomain.
"Select Mode of Transfer" should be left on "Download Backup" if you plan on backing up locally, or "Backup to FTP Server" if you plan on moving your backup directly to another server.

From here, you can use a previous backup from a previous date. You can either restore from a local file using the "Browse" or you can restore from an FTP. When you put in the FTP information, it will give you a list of backups in that directory; select the backup you wish to use.

You can set up a backup to occur on a one time basis, or on a recurring basis. You will need to have an FTP server to store your backup on.

Fill out the user information; mailboxes are automatically created for each user, you have the option to enable FTP, SSH, Telnet, and User Subdomains.
The user's quota accounts for all disk space they are allotted, including any subdomains and mailboxes.
Note: The telnet service is no longer used. Even when enabled for a user, they will not have telnet access. SSH is a much more secure alternative. If you do not have an SSH client, we recommend PuTTY.

Protect Directories in the right frame
Click the padlock icon next to the directory you wish to protect
Select the group(s) you wish to have access to the directory.
Note: To protect directories, you need to have a group of users to give permission to.
Navigate to the folder the file is in
Click the Edit icon next to it (It looks like a pencil.)
Note: Some documents contain characters that do not display correctly in a text editor, therefore you will be required to download it, edit it, and upload it.

Click the trash can next to the file. Alternatively, to delete multiple files or folders at once, you can place a check mark next to each, and click Delete File(s) at the bottom.
Note: If a folder is not empty, you will have to enable "force" to delete the folder.
Check the box next to the file(s) or folder(s) that you want to move
Click the Add File(s) to Clipboard on the bottom
Navigate to the directory you want to move them to, and paste them

Note: If you intend on having a user manage a subdomain, the user must already be created; put that user in the "Owner" menu. If you haven't already created the user, you can just enable the "subdomain" box in the user management, which will automatically create the subdomain with the user's username.
Generally, the best way to name a subdomain's "Full Directory Path" is to have it the same name as the subdomain, such as /var/www/forums for forums.domain.com

Note: Your database will be named domain_com_-_database So, if you enter "forum" the database name will be domain_com_-_forum
Simply contact us, and we will increase your number of allowed databases at no extra cost. The default number is 5, but we will gladly increase it if you need more databases.
